President of the State hosted the Prime Minister of India at the President’s Residence

President of the State: “India is an essential part of the great future of the Middle East, and the Middle East is an essential part of the great future of India.” 
Prime Minister of India: “I have had the privilege of meeting you on various occasions around the world. You are very committed to India and respect it very much.”
President Isaac Herzog hosted this morning, Thursday, the 9th of Adar, February 26th, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem.
Before their meeting, the two planted an oak tree together in the garden of the President’s Residence, as a symbol of friendship, growth, and building a shared future between the two countries. Afterward, the two held a one-on-one meeting, followed by an expanded bilateral meeting.
The Prime Minister of India invited the President of the State to visit India and said: “I have had the privilege of meeting you on various occasions around the world. You have been very clear in your views, and you are very committed to India, and I respect you very much. I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your commitment and respect for India. The 1.4 billion people of India look forward to welcoming you to our country. And I warmly invite you to visit India.”
The President thanked the Prime Minister for his second historic visit to Israel as Prime Minister of India, and expressed his deep appreciation for Modi’s consistent and long-standing support for the State of Israel, and for the friendship shown by the Indian people towards Israel. 
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed the great importance of the strategic partnership between Israel and India in a wide range of fields, including innovation, technology, academia, trade, and security. They also discussed opportunities for expanding regional partnerships and alliances for the benefit of both nations.
President of the State Isaac Herzog: “Prime Minister Modi, your visit to Israel excites the Israeli public, thanks to your friendship, integrity, and sincerity, your expressions of compassion, and your alliance with Israel and its story.
I believe that India is an essential part of the great future of the Middle East, and the Middle East is an essential part of the great future of India. I have seen your record-breaking economic growth rates, which attract the attention of the entire world. It is wonderful.
This connection between Israel and India can change the entire geo-strategic situation for the benefit of the Global South countries, and even strengthen the connection between the United States and Southeast Asia through the Eastern Hemisphere. We know that you lead the world in many fields, and we are very excited that you are here with us.” 
The President of the State accepted the Prime Minister’s invitation to visit India, and the President replied: “I wholeheartedly accept the invitation, and there are many parts of India that have intrigued and interested me throughout history, including the amazing story of Indian Jewry through the generations. This will be a wonderful opportunity.
And finally, I say that the Abraham Accords, which form a platform for advancing the region towards peace, are an ideal partner for India, and the region is an ideal partner for India going forward. Now we must implement this. Thank you very much.”
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi: “Thank you very much for the warm words you have just spoken. Since we landed yesterday, my delegation and I have received a very warm and impressive welcome. This expresses the love that the people of Israel have for India and for Indians.
The relationship between India and Israel, in all sectors, can contribute greatly to the benefit of the world, whether in science, innovation, or educational institutions. We have had very positive exchanges, especially in areas like water and agriculture. India is implementing many Israeli solutions in our country, especially in the agricultural sector, and we have achieved excellent results because of this.”
