New Services for Military Reservists Announced

Israel's Ministry of Labor announces new support for military reservists, offering occupational protections, career guidance, and training vouchers totaling 8.

Jerusalem, 7 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Labor is offering relief and adjustments for military reservists as part of Israel’s National Reserve Service Appreciation Week.

The relief includes the following:

Occupational protections for reserve servicemen – within the framework of an expansion order to a general collective agreement signed by the Minister of Labor.

Guidance and career guidance services at opportunity centers, and more.

An addition of up to 8 days of paid absence at the employer’s expense for spouses of servants (under the circumstances specified in the extension order) and the possibility of accumulating unused vacation days (under the circumstances specified in the extension order).

Providing vouchers for professional training: Distribution of 834 vouchers to reservists at a total cost of approximately eight million shekels and a scholarship grant to 44 eligible reserve servicemen, for a total amount of 410,500 Shekels.

Facilitation for students in professional training studies.

Facilitation and assistance in engineering studies.
