Argentine President Milei to Visit Israel for Independence Day Events April 19-22
Argentine President Javier Milei will visit Israel for Independence Day events from April 19-22, marking his third trip to the nation.
Jerusalem, 9 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Argentine President Javier Milei is set to visit Israel from April 19 to 22 to take part in the country’s Independence Day events.
Milei has been invited to attend the traditional torch-lighting ceremony on April 2.
The visit would mark Milei’s third official trip to Israel since taking office, following earlier visits in early 2024 and in June 2025. The President of Argentina recently described himself as “the most Zionist president in the world.”
Israel is also expected to invite U.S. President Donald Trump to the torch-lighting ceremony and to the presentation of the Israel Peace Prize following the ceasefire reached with Iran, according to Hebrew media reports.
Israeli singer Noa Kirel is expected to perform at the ceremony. The performance is said to include a segment with Arabella Trump, the granddaughter of the U.S. president and daughter of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
