Jerusalem, 28 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In the past day, elements of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) 146th (Res.) Division destroyed an underground passage and numerous Hezbollah combat means in Lebanon.
Also, forces of the IDF’s 226th Paratroopers (Res.) Brigade continue to operate south of Israel’s forward defense line with the aim of “removing threats to the citizens of the State of Israel.”
(The forward defense line is the line established by the IDF in Lebanon ahead of the ceasefire in order to push Hezbollah terrorists far back enough from northern Israel to deter continued rocket attacks.)
To that end, last night, the Brigade’s forces located and attacked a combat means warehouse, anti-tank positions, an observation post, and buildings used by Hezbollah for military purposes. The organization’s terrorists used these infrastructures to advance and execute terror plots against IDF forces and the citizens of the State of Israel.
In several additional operations in the past day, the division’s engineering forces destroyed an underground passage of the terror organization Hezbollah. Additionally, forces of the 226th Brigade located a subterranean shaft, an anti-tank position, and numerous charges of the organization.
The terror organization Hezbollah launched several explosive drones yesterday toward IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon, south of the forward defense line. The drones exploded near the forces, with no casualties.
“This constitutes a blatant Violation of the ceasefire understandings by the terror organization Hezbollah,” said the IDF.
