Jerusalem, 27 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that a short time ago, on Monday afternoon, the terrorist organization Hezbollah launched an explosive drone towards its forces operating in Southern Lebanon, south of Israel’s “Forward Defense Line.”
The drone exploded near the forces, but there were no casualties.
(The forward defense line is the line established by the IDF in Lebanon ahead of the ceasefire in order to push Hezbollah terrorists far back enough from northern Israel to deter continued rocket attacks.)
Also, earlier today the Israel Air Force successfully intercepted a “hostile” aircraft that was launched towards the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon.
The aircraft did not cross into Israeli territory and no alerts were activated according to policy.
“These are further violations of the ceasefire understandings by the terrorist organization Hezbollah,” said the IDF which continues to operate in the area of the forward defense line, to “destroy terrorist infrastructure and remove threats to the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces.”
