Jerusalem, 18 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli team took part in the main preparatory discussions held in Bonn, Germany, ahead of the annual UN climate conference.

Israel participated this year with an increased presence, with an inter-ministerial delegation that includes representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the Ministry of Justice.

During the discussions, members of the Israeli delegation took an active part in negotiations, professional meetings, and events dealing with a variety of climate issues, out of a commitment to promoting practical solutions and securing the interests of the State of Israel within the framework of international cooperation. The discussions bring together representatives from member states of the Paris Agreement working to advance the fight against the climate crisis.

“Israel’s active participation in the Bonn discussions reflects its commitment to be a significant partner in the international effort to address the climate crisis,” said the Foreign Ministry. “Through diplomacy, innovation, and collaboration, Israel continues to contribute to shaping a more secure, sustainable, and prosperous future for its citizens and the international community.”
