Jerusalem, 20 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of the Interior issued calls for proposals to local authorities to upgrade, improve and develop beach infrastructure in the > 🇮🇱🇦🇷”>State of Israel, with the aim of assisting authorities in preparing for the bathing season and improving infrastructure and public service at beaches.

As part of the move, a call for proposals was issued to improve accessibility and safe use of public beaches. This budget will allow authorities to carry out permanent development work such as upgrading access roads, crossings and full accessibility for people with disabilities, while giving priority to authorities in need of government assistance and to projects with high execution availability.

In addition, a call for upgrading and making infrastructural adjustments to the separate bathing beaches was published, with the aim of addressing physical and operational gaps at these beaches and improving access routes, partitions and permanent facilities there.
