Commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Ori Gordin, visited the south of the country today (Tuesday) along with heads of authorities and additional commanders.
During his visit, he met with city mayors, held a situation assessment, and toured the authorities to examine the home front’s preparedness.
Commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Ori Gordin, said: “A strong home front is a prerequisite for victory. In the past two years, the State of Israel has been dealing with a complex and challenging reality, but precisely from within it, the strength of the people and national resilience stand out. I have deep appreciation for the citizens of Israel, who demonstrate responsibility, mutual guarantee, and determination even in the most difficult moments. The mayors and local authorities have demonstrated and continue to demonstrate leadership, personal responsibility, and an uncompromising commitment to the security of their residents.”
“It is important to remember: protection saves lives. Every citizen must know in advance the nearest protected space – whether it is a safe room, a public shelter, or another protected space. Early preparedness and a correct response save lives.”
