The campaign against Hezbollah has only just begun – after the campaign in Iran, it will remain isolated.

IDF plans deepening Lebanon maneuvers against Hezbollah, a proxy of Iran, signaling a prolonged campaign for northern security.

The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, held a planning approval session yesterday (Saturday) for deepening the maneuver in Lebanon, together with the General Staff Forum, division commanders, and brigade commanders operating in the northern sector.

The Chief of Staff expressed great appreciation to the commanders for their actions and the achievements they have brought about in recent weeks.

“Iran is our main effort, and the northern arena is another central arena,” said the Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir. “They are intertwined. Hezbollah is a central proxy of the Iranian terror regime, and it made a grave mistake when it chose to join the campaign against Israel. This choice harms it and the entire state of Lebanon.

The message is clear: there is no safe place for the regime and its proxies. Any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel will be met with a determined, precise, and powerful response.

In recent weeks, we have achieved significant accomplishments, attacked over 2,000 targets, dozens of weapons depots, and eliminated hundreds of terrorists. The campaign against Hezbollah has only just begun – at the end of the campaign against Iran, Hezbollah will be left alone and isolated. This is a prolonged campaign, and we are ready for it.

Now, we are preparing for the deepening of the maneuver and attacks, according to an orderly plan. We will not stop until the threat is removed from the border and long-term security for the residents of the North is ensured. In parallel with the attacks, the IDF is strengthening the forward defense line to protect the residents of the North.

We are prepared for a long campaign and will continue to act as required – offensively and defensively – to ensure the long-term security of the residents of the North.”
