Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the revenue (sales) of the marketing chains (stores) in the months of September – November 2025 (annualized trend data) saw an increase of 0.6% (at constant prices) in total retail chain revenue, after an increase of 6.2% (at constant prices) in the three months June – August 2025.

Food chain revenue for the period September – November 2025 (annualized trend data) saw a 1.1% increase (at constant prices), after a 3.1% increase (at constant prices) in June – August 2025.

Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel warned residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate an area of the town of Kfar Hatta, saying the Israel Defense Force will imminently strike hezbollah terror infrastructure.

Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, tweeted a map and urged civilians to maintain a distance of at least 300 meters from the target.

Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The widow of the master terrorist Yahya Ayyash was arrested after posting incitement on social media, around the time of the 30th anniversary of his elimination by Israeli security forces. On January 5, 1996 Hamas bomb maker Ayyash was killed when his cell phone exploded. Israeli agents had placed and explosive in the phone which went off when he received a call and the explosive was limited to ensure that only Ayash would be harmed.

The Israel Police said she posted incitement, praise, and glorification of terrorist organizations.

Among her posts was a propaganda video praising her late husband, which showed suicide bombings on buses and ends with an inciting call to continue terrorism.

Ayash was responsible for many of the suicide bombings on buses throughout Israel in the first few years after the implementation of the Oslo Accords and the establishment of the automatous Palestinian areas, such as Gaza.

The compound was used by the organization’s terrorists to store weapons and advance terror plots against IDF forces and the State of Israel throughout the war. The terrorists who were attacked in the compound were planning to carry out a terror plot against IDF forces operating in the northern Gaza Strip in the immediate timeframe. In addition, terror infrastructure was attacked, including eight launch shafts belonging to the Hamas terror organization, two sites used for manufacturing weapons, and three weapons storage facilities. The elimination of the terrorists constitutes a significant blow to the capabilities of the Hamas terror organization and terror organizations in the Gaza Strip to carry out terror plots against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel. The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to act against any attempt by terror organizations in the Gaza Strip to harm IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel.

One of the terrorists attempted to steal IDF equipment and then fled. Immediately after identification, the Air Force eliminated the terrorist under the direction of the brigade’s fire control center, west of the demarcation line, in order to remove the threat. In two additional incidents in the northern Gaza Strip, forces from the Northern Brigade Combat Team and the Jerusalem Brigade (16) Combat Team identified a number of terrorists who crossed the demarcation line and approached them in a manner that constituted an immediate threat. Immediately after identification, the forces eliminated two terrorists in order to remove the threat. IDF forces under the command of the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

At this stage, no clear findings have been found that this was an intentional attack; the incident is still under investigation.

The combatant was evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital, and his family was updated. IDF forces have launched a pursuit of the terrorist.

Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced a $3.1 billion contract with Israel’s ministry of Defense to expand Germany’s procurement of the Arrow 3 air missile defense system. The agreement follows a December 17, 2025, announcement by Germany’s Ministry of Defense and is part of a total deal valued at over $6.5 billion—the largest defense export in Israel’s history.

IAI CEO Boaz Levy said the contract reflects “a deep vote of confidence in Israeli technology and the strategic partnership between our two countries” and will strengthen Germany’s missile defense capabilities. The Arrow 3 system was developed by IAI in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
