The forces of the Iron Fist Brigade’s (205) combat team and the Yahalom Unit forces, under the command of Division 252, are operating in the northern Gaza Strip area, east of the “red line” (the border fence), to clear the area of terror infrastructure.
Over the past weekend, the forces destroyed 4 underground tunnels, totaling approximately 800 meters in length, which were used by Hamas. In the tunnels, living quarters, living equipment, mines, and materials used by Hamas to prepare explosives against our forces were found.
IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the ceasefire plan and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
