Air Force Commander, Major General Tomer Bar, visited Tel Nof base yesterday (Friday), spoke with Air Force technicians at the base, and emphasized to them their crucial contribution in Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’.
Air Force Commander, Major General Tomer Bar, said: “The first 72 hours, there is no air force in the world that could have given what you gave. It is impressive by any measure. What happened here was a race against time, to put some kind of ‘carpet’ and suppress all the tactical ballistic missiles that could fly towards the State of Israel at any moment.”
“You saw, there were missile barrages here, it wasn’t zero, but the offensive posture we adopted very aggressively saved many human lives. Every aircraft you prepared, every malfunction you fixed, essentially created the core of the maneuver here.”
“It worked, and from there, after those 72 hours, when you saw the rate of fire decrease, now we are at peak lethality, at a good and proper pace, and we will not stop. I see the determination in your eyes, I am very, very proud.”
“To sit and know that you are sitting on a war machine that you prepared, and you ensure that everything works and can be relied upon, and that we will also return safely, is a supreme feeling, a true feeling of pride.”
