Eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day – The message coming from here is sharp and clear. We will not flinch!

The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, held a situation assessment and continued planning of operational moves in Iran and other arenas today (Monday) with the General Staff Forum.

Words of the Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi: “As we sit in the Supreme Command Post and prepare for the continuation of the campaign we are in, I cannot help but think on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day about us and about the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces – about the magnitude of the historical responsibility placed upon our shoulders at this time.

On the eve of Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day – we are discussing strengthening high readiness and preparing for the continuation of the campaign. 81 years have passed since the end of World War II. From a persecuted and defenseless people, we are fighting a tremendous and significant war to remove existential threats from the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

We are contending in a multi-arena campaign, unprecedented in the history of our people and in the annals of nations, with enemies with whom we share a border, alongside distant enemies who seek to destroy us. We are defeating Iran and its proxies, we have severely harmed it and dismantled its military capabilities.

The regime in Iran, which called for and acted to destroy us, is a cruel dictatorial regime – we have not been deterred by it, we have stood on our feet and for our destiny and struck them.

Today, the Jewish people have a powerful defensive force against those who seek to destroy us. We will not be deterred by our enemies – our destiny is in our hands. This evening, all the more so, it is fitting that we remember the six million and alongside that, remember the historical right that has fallen to us to powerfully defend the Jewish people.

I look at the quality group gathered here, I look at the IDF forces in the air, on the ground, at sea, and in the other arrays and I am proud of you – the quality, unprecedented, and strongest defensive force in Jewish history.

On the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day – the message coming from here is sharp and clear.
We will not be deterred!
We will face any threat and neutralize it in advance.”
