During the night (Sunday), IDF and Border Police forces responded to the area of the village of Khirbet Abu Falah following a report of several Israeli civilians who attacked Palestinians in the village’s residential area.
IDF forces responded to Khirbet Abu Falah after civilians attacked Palestinians, resulting in three Palestinian deaths and an ongoing investigation.
Upon arrival at the location, security forces acted to disperse those involved using crowd dispersal means. Subsequently, it was reported retrospectively that two Palestinians were killed as a result of gunfire. Additionally, another Palestinian was reported to have died from suffocation. The incident was immediately investigated in the field by the Commander of the Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth, along with representatives from the Judea and Samaria Division and the Border Police. Following the incident, a criminal investigation was opened by the competent authorities. The IDF strongly condemns violence of any kind. In recent days, several unusual incidents have occurred in which Palestinians and Israeli civilians were harmed. The IDF views these incidents with great severity. From the words of the Commander of the Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth: “This is an unacceptable incident. There is no and will be no tolerance for civilians taking the law into their own hands. These actions are dangerous, do not represent the Jewish people or the State of Israel, they divert us from the mission of defense and thwarting terror, and even undermine security and stability in the region. We are working with the security forces to quickly reach those responsible and bring them to justice. Precisely at a time when the IDF is striking our bitter enemies, in Iran and Hezbollah, with a heavy hand, we must not allow wild violence from within to undermine the rule of law and the security of the region.”
