Blood Donation Drive

Israel's Ministry of Health, led by Director General Moshe Bar Siman Tov, is urging citizens to donate blood to bolster the nation's supply amidst an emergency.

The Ministry of Health urges the public to come and donate blood.

Today, a blood drive was held at the Ministry of Health’s National Health Operations Center. The Ministry of Health Director General said: “I call on the public to come over and donate blood.”

In light of the emergency situation and as part of efforts to boost Israel’s blood supply, a blood donation operation was conducted today by MDA at the Ministry of Health’s National Health Operations Center.

About 1,200 blood units are collected daily around 4:00 PM, and today, by 2:00 PM, an average of about 2,000 units have been collected since the start of the campaign.

The Ministry of Health urges the public to donate blood at donation centers.

Ministry of Health Director General Moshe Bar Siman Tov: “As part of the Health System’s preparedness for all scenarios, we need to strengthen our blood supply, and I call on the public to donate blood at MDA centers. Come donate and be part of the thousands of Israelis saving lives and showing the spirit of mutual support in everyday life and emergencies. This is an opportunity for each of us to take action that truly helps save lives. Our health system is ready and prepared so that it can continue operating to save lives.”
