Israel Assures Public: Food Supplies Secure, No Price Hikes
Israel's Ministry of Economy and Industry confirms food supplies are secure and supply chains stable after strikes on Iran, with no price hikes anticipated.
Jerusalem, 28 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry said on Saturday night that food stocks are sufficient and supply chains remain stable as Israel and the U.S. struck Iran.
A situation assessment led by Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat and Director General Moti Hagay found no shortages of food or essential products. Supermarket chains will continue operating, with hundreds of designated “iron branches” prepared to remain open. The ministry said there is no need for panic buying and warned of zero tolerance for price increases.
