Jerusalem, 17 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Appointments Committee for the Appointment of Heads of Missions Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, decided today, May 17, to appoint Dr. Yulia Rechinsky-Spivkov to the position of Israeli Ambassador to Senegal and Non-Resident Ambassador to Chad, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea-Conakry, Gambia, and Cape Verde.

Dr. Rechinsky-Spivkov currently serves as Deputy Consul General in Los Angeles and previously served as Charge d’Affaires and Deputy Ambassador in Moscow, Deputy Ambassador to the Philippines, and Deputy Ambassador in Minsk, has been appointed

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar will submit the appointment for approval by the Ministerial Committee for Appointments in the Foreign Service and the Cabinet Plenum.
