Jerusalem, 26 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli organization COGAT (Coordinator of the Government Activities in the Territories) reported that, since the humanitarian pause began in Gaza, it has facilitated the entry of over 12,500 tons of medical supplies and 20 ambulances to reinforce local healthcare capacity.

Today, Sunday, 12 field hospitals and 11 permanent hospitals are operational Across Gaza. Within these facilities, medical teams, including hundreds of international specialists, work to provide vital care to those who need it most.

“We work with the international community to expand healthcare access,” said COGAT. “However, this mission faces a constant challenge: Hamas’s ongoing use of hospitals and medical infrastructure for its own terror purposes. Despite these complexities, we remain committed to ensuring that medical aid reaches Gazan civilians and that the healthcare system continues to function.”
