Operation Iron Net – Four pistols, three M-16 rifles, ammunition, magazines, and dangerous drugs were seized in an operational activity over the weekend as part of Operation “Iron Net”.

During a search of a vehicle, three Glock pistols and matching magazines, as well as a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, were seized. Two suspects, residents of the Bedouin diaspora in their 20s and 30s, were arrested and transferred for further investigation at the Ayarot station along with the seized items. In another operation conducted in the town of Hura, Ayarot station officers, along with Border Police fighters from the SAHAR unit, located an abandoned vehicle in a compound containing a pistol and magazines that had been hidden inside a bag. Two suspects, residents of Hura, were arrested and transferred for further investigation at the Ayarot station. In the Rahat station sector, station officers, along with Southern National Guard fighters from the Border Police, operated in Compound 25. During a search conducted at the location, three M16 weapons were seized, and a suspect was arrested for further investigation. All items seized during the various operations were transferred for further processing at the district stations for evidential and forensic purposes, with the aim of locating additional suspects involved in offenses and apprehending them.
