Officers from the Ofakim station and fighters from the Sahar brigade arrested five suspects involved in a murder incident. The police opened an investigation this evening following a report of a violent incident, during which a man (36, Segev Shalom) was allegedly stabbed, and his death was pronounced at the scene.Upon receiving the report, forces from the Ofakim station and the forensic unit operated at the scene, collected evidence and findings, and initiated investigative actions to locate those involved.Within a short time, station officers, along with fighters from the Sahar brigade, arrested five suspects, minorities residing in Ofakim, on suspicion of involvement in the incident.Following a situation assessment conducted by the Southern District Commander, Major General Chaim Bublil, it was decided that the investigation would be managed by the Central Unit of the Negev District.
