Jerusalem Marathon 2026 – All streets in the city have been opened to traffic. The Jerusalem Marathon concluded a short while ago.

Jerusalem Marathon 2026 concludes; all city streets reopened to traffic except around Sacher Park due to ongoing work.

Accordingly, all roads that were blocked throughout the city have been fully opened to traffic, except for the roads around Sacher Park (Ruppin and Ben Tzvi streets) where infrastructure dismantling work by the municipality continues. From the early morning hours, Jerusalem District Police officers and Border Police fighters, under the command of the Jerusalem District Commander, Superintendent Avi Shlomo, operated with a wide deployment along the running routes, ensuring the security and safety of thousands of participants, and directing and regulating traffic on adjacent routes. The event was managed from the police command post established in Sacher Park, which included all bodies, including Magen David Adom, Fire and Rescue Services, Home Front Command, and the Jerusalem Municipality, utilizing technological means from the air and ground, which enabled the race to be held safely while minimizing disruption to the daily lives of the city’s residents.
