Further to this morning’s incident in Havat Gilad – Border Police fighters in Judea and Samaria are on extensive operational readiness during the weekend. The commander of Border Police in Judea and Samaria held a situation assessment with the forces. A short while ago, the commander of Border Police in Judea and Samaria, Superintendent Nisso Guetta, held a situation assessment at the conclusion of the funeral of the security coordinator of Havat Gilad, which took place in the area of the farm. Following the incident, the commander of Border Police in Judea and Samaria and IDF commanders in the Judea and Samaria Division instructed for extensive operational readiness of Border Police fighters in Judea and Samaria throughout the division’s sector during the upcoming weekend, focusing on two main efforts: preventing friction incidents and public disturbances, alongside offensive counter-terrorism operations and the apprehension of wanted individuals. As part of the readiness, all Border Police battalions in Judea and Samaria, area units, and special units, including the undercover unit, the explosives unit, the Matilan unit, and the investigations and intelligence office, will operate. Border Guard fighters, together with IDF forces, Israel Police officers, and the General Security Service, will continue to operate in a combined effort, with determination and high operational readiness, to thwart terrorism, maintain public security, and preserve order in the area.
