Breaking Update

Following an investigation by the Judea and Samaria District, a suspect was arrested for involvement in the abandonment of a baby in January in Hadera. In January 2026, an eight-day-old baby was found in a stairwell in a building in Hadera.

The infant was evacuated to the hospital in stable condition and transferred for examination by welfare authorities. As part of the investigation and in accordance with a DNA test that was conducted, it emerged that a suspect involved in the abandonment of the infant is a resident of Tulkarm. Earlier today, in a targeted operation by the RO’EH unit in the Judea and Samaria District, a suspect was arrested. Along with him, his wife was detained, who was with him in the vehicle at the time of the arrest. Both suspects, residents of Tulkarm, were transferred for further investigation at the police station in Hadera for the purpose of completing the investigation.
