During an operational activity carried out by Northern District police officers in the city of Nazareth, a vehicle did not comply with officers’ instructions to stop. Following a pursuit, two illegal residents were apprehended.

Nazareth police apprehended two illegal residents after a pursuit involving reckless driving; indictments and vehicle confiscation were filed.

In response, the vehicle began to flee, driving recklessly, endangering road users, and not obeying the officers’ orders. Police forces blocked the escape route during the pursuit and the vehicle was stopped. Inside the vehicle, two residents of Judea and Samaria were found who were in Israel without permits. Upon completion of the investigation phase, indictments and a request for arrest until the end of proceedings were filed against a resident of Anabta (39) for offenses of unlawful presence in Israel, and against a resident of Ya’bad for offenses of unlawful presence in Israel, reckless driving, driving without a license, and more. In addition, a request was filed with the court to confiscate the vehicle with which the offense was committed, after it was found that the vehicle was provided for the use of the illegal resident with the consent of its owner.
