Following the pursuit, two suspects were arrested and a handgun and magazine were seized. Yesterday, during a joint operation by motorcycle officers from the Border Police’s Internal Security Division, Galilee Special Patrol Unit fighters, and officers from the Shfaram station on Highway 781 near Shfaram, the forces identified a vehicle that aroused their suspicion and ordered the driver to stop for inspection. The driver did not comply with the officers’ calls, began to flee in a reckless manner, drove against traffic, and significantly endangered road users. During the pursuit, the Internal Security Division’s motorcycle officers performed a suspect apprehension procedure, during which they fired at the vehicle’s tires until it stopped. Following the pursuit, two suspects (from Ibtin, aged 18, and from Eilabun, aged 21) were arrested, and a Glock handgun was seized. The suspects were transferred for investigation at the Shfaram station.
