A suspect was arrested in dozens of fraud cases involving the sale of tickets for various performances and events, using fake and stolen profiles online. Over the past few months, dozens of complaints have been received regarding fraud cases where tickets for various performances and sporting events were advertised for sale in several social media groups and WhatsApp groups, using fake and stolen profiles. As part of an investigation by officers from the Online Crime Unit in the Tel Aviv District, in cooperation with detectives from the Shar’at and Tel Aviv South stations, over 60 complaints have been identified so far, with amounts transferred ranging between 500 and 7200 shekels in each case. Yesterday, following a covert investigation, the suspect (in his 30s, from Holon) was arrested and taken for questioning.
