Synchrony Medical Secures $5M to Bring Israeli-Developed Respiratory Device to More U.S. Patients

Israeli-U.S. Synchrony Medical secures $5M in funding to expand its FDA-cleared LibAirty respiratory device, developed in Israel, to more U.S. patients.

Jerusalem, 18 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli–U.S. med-tech company Synchrony Medical, with operations in Or Yehuda, Israel, and Jersey City, New Jersey, has closed a $5 million funding round to accelerate commercial adoption of its FDA-cleared LibAirty Airway Clearance System.

The investment, led by Edge Medical Ventures and supported by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and other investors, will support U.S. expansion, clinical research, and product innovation. LibAirty delivers daily at-home therapy for chronic lung disease, clearing twice as much sputum as conventional treatments. Developed with Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan and backed by the Israel Innovation Authority, the system aims to make effective respiratory care more accessible to patients nationwide.
