Jerusalem, 8 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Communications has fined Bezeq International, the country’s largest telecom, NIS 643,560 ($206,800) for repeated violations of regulations governing customer service response times at its call centers.

The sanction followed supervisory inspections conducted over three separate periods, which found that the company consistently exceeded both the maximum average waiting time for a human response and the permitted share of calls waiting longer than six minutes. In none of the periods examined did Bezeq International meet the required standards.

The ministry said the violations were recurrent and rejected the company’s claims that security conditions or financial harm justified the delays.
