Israeli defense giant Rafael and Kratos Defense & Security Solutions launch a $175 million missile manufacturing campus in Bloomfield, Indiana, for U.S.
Jerusalem, 22 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A groundbreaking ceremony in Bloomfield, Indiana marked the launch of Prometheus Energetics, a joint venture between Israeli defense company Rafael and U.S.-based Kratos Defense & Security Solutions. The new campus will produce solid rocket motors and missile energy components for American customers, leveraging Rafael’s battlefield-proven technology.
Covering 250 hectares, the facility will house four production lines with an 800-ton capacity and room for expansion. Rafael and Kratos invested $175 million in the project, which is expected to begin production in 2027.
