Jerusalem, 2 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Sirens sounded across central Israel, areas near Jerusalem, and parts of Judea and Samaria on Thursday evening as Iran renewed missile fire and Hezbollah continued launching rockets and drones from Lebanon.

At least one impact was reported in Petah Tikva following the latest Iranian barrage, while emergency crews checked additional sites in the city. Magen David Adom said one person was lightly wounded in Mazkeret Batya by shattered glass caused by the blast wave. Damage was also reported in Ramat Hashavim and Savyon, with no other immediate reports of injuries.

The IDF said several missiles were launched from Iran and that at least some were intercepted. It added that none of the projectiles appeared to be cluster-type munitions. Separately, sirens also sounded in the northern Golan Heights over a suspected drone infiltration.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah launched repeated barrages of rockets and drones at communities along the Lebanese border and deeper inside northern Israel. About five rockets were fired toward Nahariya, with impacts reported at three sites in the city. A kindergarten and a nearby residential building were damaged, and one person was treated for shock.

Later barrages triggered alarms in Karmiel and surrounding areas, as well as in Kiryat Shmona, Metula, Kfar Giladi, Rosh Hanikra, Shlomi, and Safed. Two men were lightly wounded by shrapnel near a school in Bana, near Karmiel. Several others were treated for shock.

By evening, authorities said about 120 rockets had been fired from Lebanon since morning, along with multiple drone launches.
