Jerusalem, 22 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Inspectors thwarted an attempt to smuggle 10 tons of unregulated beef and poultry into Israel ahead of Passover, Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture said on Sunday. The products were transported without refrigeration using forged certificates.’
The driver, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, was questioned, and the meat was destroyed due to public health risks.
