Jerusalem, 4 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that “Based on the statement just released by Hamas, I believe they are ready for lasting peace.” According to Trump, “Israel must immediately stop the bombing in Gaza so we can safely and quickly release the hostages!”
Donald Trump added: “Right now, it’s too dangerous to do so. We are already discussing details that have not yet been settled. This is not just about Gaza, it’s about peace in the Middle East that has been desired for a long time.”
