Suspect in Ashkelon Car Bombing Arrested
32-year-old Sderot resident arrested in Tel Aviv hideout for suspected involvement in Ashkelon car bombing. Suspect evaded police after attack.
Jerusalem, 25 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Police officers arrested a 32-year-old Sderot resident – a city just north of Gaza – in a “hideout apartment” in tel aviv, who is suspected of being involved in a car explosion in Ashkelon about a week ago and fleeing the scene.
The Suspect was first found after the attack while driving on a highway. When the police signaled for him to stop the vehicle, the Suspect allegedly did not listen to their instructions and continued driving, endangering their lives and breaching the Checkpoint. In extensive searches conducted immediately afterward and the suspect’s vehicle was located abandoned in the Sderot area.
