Storm Forces Israeli-Bound Plane Over Lebanon, Lands Safely in Tel Aviv

Jerusalem, 10 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli-bound flight from Larnaca to Ben Gurion Airport briefly entered Lebanese airspace on Wednesday due to severe weather, the Israel Airports Authority (IAA) said. Pilots were forced to divert from the original route for passenger safety, taking an alternate path over Beirut.

The IAA confirmed the plane remained under Cypriot air traffic control while over Lebanon and only transferred to Israeli control after leaving Lebanese territory.

The flight landed safely at Ben Gurion without incident.
