Jerusalem, 25 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police are currently investigating an apparent murder/attempted suicide after a vehicle was found on the side of the highway near Sderot (just north or Gaza) that contained a wounded woman (37, Sderot) who was shot. She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
During searches, the vehicle of the suspect in the shooting was located in the open area not far away from where the woman was found, and the suspect (54, Sderot) was found inside, seriously wounded by gunfire.
The police said that their initial investigation indicates that the incident involved a married couple, that the man shot his partner and then shot himself.
The investigation continues.
The man’s current medical condition was not reported.
