Jerusalem, 1 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a woman and her young son, whose bodies were discovered in a burned-out apartment in the city of Modi’in on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a fire broke out in the residence. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and subsequently found the bodies of the mother and her minor son inside the apartment.
Officers from the Modi’in police station have since cordoned off the area as forensic teams begin their investigation.
