Police Foil an ISIS Linked Terrorist’s Plan to Bomb Soldiers in Acre
Israeli police thwart ISIS-linked terrorist's plan to bomb soldiers in Acre. 18-year-old suspect arrested for plotting attack. Investigation ongoing.
Jerusalem, 30 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A bomb attack planned against IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldiers in Acre was foiled. Police arrested an 18-year-old resident Acre resident identified with ISIS who planned the attack.
The suspect was allegedly taking steps to manufacture explosives.
During his interrogation, a picture emerged regarding his intention to carry out a bomb attack against IDF soldiers at a bus stop near the train station in Acre, along with steps he actually took to prepare explosives and a bomb.
The investigation also revealed that he planned to carry out the attack for nationalist motives and in the name of the “Islamic State”, and that he was in contact with “Islamic State” operatives abroad.
