Israeli police arrest two suspects in gun trafficking bust near Tel Aviv, seizing five Glock pistols. Taxi driver and resident in custody.
Jerusalem, 23 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli police arrested a 62-year-old Bat Yam taxi driver and a 32-year-old Negev resident suspected of trafficking illegal weapons, authorities said on Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence, detectives stopped a taxi Tuesday night on Highway 6 near the Ben Shemen Interchange in central Israel. A search of the vehicle uncovered a bag in the trunk containing five Glock pistols with cartridges. The driver and a second suspect, believed to be an accomplice, were taken into custody.
