Breaking News

Jerusalem, 23 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Yesterday (Tuesday), a special flight from Marseille, France, landed at Ben Gurion Airport with 27 new immigrants – and they were welcomed by the Director General of the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption, Attorney Avichai Kahane, and El Al CEO Dina Ben Tal Ganancia, in an event which officially launched a new initiative to provide a VIP experience for new immigrants.

Now, El Al flight attendants will personally greet the immigrants during the flight, provide them with a unique comfort kit, and prepare them for a warm reception at Ben Gurion Airport.

After landing, immigrants are received in a new, spacious and accessible reception area in Terminal 3, which allows them to complete the bureaucratic process with personal assistance, quickly and respectfully. They receive all their rights there: an absorption basket, immigrant certificate, initial ID card, health insurance and more – and all of this upon landing in Israel.
