Netanyahu convenes emergency meeting after Hamas fires on Israeli troops. IDF launches attacks on Hamas terror targets in southern Gaza.
Jerusalem, 19 october, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Following Hamas’s violation of the ceasefire agreement earlier today (Sunday), Prime Minister Netanyahu held consultations with the Minister of Defense and the heads of the security establishment and instructed them to act forcefully against terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.
After the meeting, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) announced that it began a wave of attacks against terror targets of the Hamas terrorist organization in the southern Gaza Strip when Hamas fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward Israeli soldiers in the Rafah area of southern Gaza.
