Jerusalem, 17 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The second section of the Nahariya bike path network was inaugurated on the HaMsila Park Promenade. This is part of the national effort to strengthen and restore the north, led by the Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, Brigadier General (res.) Miri Regev.
Nahariya is on the coast north of Tel Aviv.
The new bike path project is being implemented as part of the MIAITZ (Terminals, Bicycles, and Priority Routes) program led by the Ministry of Transportation throughout the country, and as part of the construction of the new “Railway Promenade” park in the city.
It is part of a comprehensive plan to establish a “Railway Promenade” park, similar to successful projects in the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The park will serve as a green lung in the heart of the city, combining nature, transportation, history and community.
The trail is located in the southern section of the railway promenade and is based on the route of the historic railway that once connected HaGa’aton Boulevard, the city’s main street, and the Boymel-Achziv neighborhood through the northern neighborhoods.
The project creates convenient connectivity with existing and planned bike paths and is the second phase in establishing a network of urban paths with a total length of approximately 10 kilometers, which will make Nahariya a friendly and safe city for cyclists. The work included new lighting, tree planting, landscaping, street furniture and integrated walking paths.
