Jerusalem, 17 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Jerusalem natural gas network connection project, with an investment of approximately 150 million Shekels ($45 million), will allow for the first time the connection of central industrial zones in the Jerusalem area, including Atarot, Beit Shemesh and Mateh Yehuda. This connection is intended to provide local industry with a cheaper, cleaner and more efficient energy source – a move that is expected to improve the industry’s competitiveness, significantly reduce energy costs and contribute to improving environmental quality. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eli Cohen, signed the distribution license for the gas pipeline, which will enter into force in September.
