Jerusalem, 13 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Likit-Kiryat Hamodiin project – a new housing development between an IDF intelligence center and the Likit train station in the Negev – is moving forward, having received approval from the Southern District Planning and Building Committee.
The southern expansion plan, said the government, is a response to the regularization of Bedouin settlement near Kiryat Hamodiin and will enable the construction of the Goral Railway and the Likit Railway Station as a central transportation hub for the Kiryat Hamodiin intelligence center’s employees.
The plan was promoted by the Authority for the Development and Regularization of Bedouin Settlement in the Negev and was prepared by a large planning team led by Professor Neria Ravid Reuveni of the Mansfeld-Kahat architectural firm.
The plan includes 446 residential lots (1,500 housing units) ranging in size from 450 square meters to 1,200 square meters (0.6 on average), as well as public areas, commerce, engineering facilities, and a heavy vehicle parking lot.
