Jerusalem, 6 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Police seized 15 luxury cars from tax evaders owing 27 million shekels overnight.

The criminals were located in Israel’s Northern Arab-populated city of Tamra and nearby town of Ibelin.

A join statement from the Tax Authority and police said: “The activity focused on tax evaders, in Ibelin and Tamra, who had accumulated debts totaling approximately 27 million NIS. As part of the activity, 15 vehicles, some of which were luxury vehicles, were seized and confiscated against debts to the income tax, VAT, and excise taxes.

“The Israel Police and the Tax Authority will continue a determined struggle against illegal activity in Arab society, including activity in the criminal, economic, and other fields that is carried out with disregard for the rule of law and has a negative impact on the normative, law-abiding society.”
