Israel’s Consumer Price Index Up 0.5% in October

Jerusalem, 23 november, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index increased by 0.5% in October 2025, compared to September 2025, reaching an index level of 104.1 points (base: average 2024=100.0 points).

The Consumer Price Index excluding housing increased by 0.8%, reaching an index level of 103.7 points, the Consumer Price Index excluding energy increased by 0.4%, reaching an index level of 104.2 points, and the Consumer Price Index excluding vegetables and fruits increased by 0.3%, reaching an index level of 104.1 points.

Notable price increases were recorded in the following categories: vegetables and fruits, which rose by 3.9%, clothing and footwear, which rose by 3.0%, food, which rose by 1.4%, transportation and communication, which rose by 0.9%, health, which rose by 0.5%, home maintenance, which rose by 0.4%, and rent, which rose by 0.3%.

Notable price declines were recorded in the following categories: Culture and Entertainment, which fell by 1.7%, and Tenant-Owned Housing Services, which fell by 0.9%.

Since the beginning of the year, the consumer price index has increased by 3.1%. The consumer price index excluding vegetables and fruits, the consumer price index excluding housing, and the consumer price index excluding energy have increased by 3.0%.

In the last twelve months (October 2025 compared to October 2024), the CPI increased by 2.5%. The CPI excluding vegetables and fruits increased by 2.7%, the CPI excluding energy increased by 2.4%, and the CPI excluding housing increased by 2.0%.
