Israel Strengthens Cyber Defense Ties with Germany

Jerusalem, 10 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Cyber Directorate is strengthening ties with the German government in the field of cyber defense. On Tuesday, December 9, a declaration of intent was signed with the German Ministry of the Interior as part of Cyber Week, which took place at Tel Aviv University.

On behalf of Israel, the declaration was signed by the head of the Cyber Directorate, Yossi Karadi, and on behalf of Germany, by Frederica Dans, head of the Cyber Directorate at the German Ministry of the Interior.

The cooperation is designed to enhance the capabilities of defense against cyber threats by leveraging the comparative advantages of each country.

The cooperation includes four main areas:

Developing the next generation of cyber defense – sharing knowledge, accumulated experience and working methods to strengthen the cyber defense and thwart attacks; Establishing a Cyber Center of Excellence – a new center that will promote research in the field of artificial intelligence; Conducting exercises and simulations and promoting innovation and exposure to startups in the fields of cyber and AI; Managing cyber risks and promoting appropriate regulation; Exchange of knowledge and personnel – programs for the exchange of experts for the purpose of promoting policy and regulation and creating collaborations.
