Jerusalem, 12 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police said it has completed operational preparations for what it called “two of the most important and sensitive national operations in its history” – Operation “Return to Their Borders” to return the hostages home, and alongside it, Operation “Blue Shield 6” in preparation for the visit of the President of the United States to Israel.
Thousands of police officers and volunteers will operate from the early morning hours Monday to provide security, maintain public order, and direct traffic during the state visit, which is expected to last several hours.
In addition to the deployment of forces in the field, control centers and police stations will operate in a reinforced format to ensure effective command and control throughout the entire operation.
During the visit, traffic disruptions and blockages are expected on the routes leading to the city of Jerusalem and throughout the city of Jerusalem.
