Jerusalem, 13 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An enforcement activity against polluting and noisy vehicles was carried out by the Air Pollution Prevention Unit from Transportation at Israel’s Ministry of Environmental Protection in cooperation with local police in the southern towns of Israel. During the activity, 113 vehicles were inspected, of which 33 were taken off the road and approximately 21 citations were recorded.
Itzik Sendrosi, head of the unit for preventing air pollution from transportation at the Ministry of Environmental Protection: “Air pollution and noise caused by vehicles are a nuisance that harms the environment and public health. The Ministry of Environmental Protection is determined to continue cooperating with all relevant parties to ensure a clean, healthy and quiet environment for everyone.”
The Ministry of Environmental Protection said that it sees great importance in carrying out enforcement activities against polluting and noisy vehicles. Therefore, the Ministry will continue to cooperate with all relevant parties to protect the environment and public health.
