In a joint IDF-Shin Bet operation, Israeli forces recovered the body of Thai national Nattapong Pinta from the Rafah area in Gaza on Friday. Pinta was kidnapped alive by the Kataeb al-Mujahideen terror group from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, and later murdered in captivity.
The operation was enabled by precise intelligence gathered from a Shin Bet interrogation and support from the Hostage Headquarters and IDF Intelligence.
Pinta’s remains were identified at the National Center of Forensic Medicine. His family, the Thai government, and the Nir Oz community have been notified.
The Hostage Families Forum expressed solidarity and called for the immediate return of all 55 remaining hostages.
