Jerusalem, 13 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF cooperation with the secret services, carried out a drone attack in the al-Nabulsi area in the west of Gaza City. The target was Raed Saad, the second-in-command of Hamas in Gaza and a close associate of Mohammed Deif, who was one of the plotters behind the terrorist attacks on 7 October 2023.

Saad’s death cannot yet be officially confirmed; he seems do have been travelling in a vehicle along the coastal road when he was located by Israeli intellegence. The vehicle was then struck by an unmanned Air Force aircraft.

According to Israeli media, the operation to eliminate the senior Hamas leader was codenamed ‘Last Supper’. Saad had been leading Hamas’s military restructuring in northern Gaza during the last two months of the ceasefire.

Reports indicate that he has indeed been eliminated. According to these reports, there had been several previous opportunities to kill Saad, but this time there was high-level recognition of his above-ground position, which is why he was targeted.
